I write this quarantined at home, at a time when science has taken a backseat and tech billionaire Elon Musk with his billion-dollar project of keeping humans alive for 500 years has gone into economic wilderness, and is now manufacturing ventilators to keep them from dying a premature death at the hands of an unrelenting virus. We are at the bend where in our attempts to break new frontiers in extending human life, we would probably end up redefining death.

Non-linear Science from a Neuroscientist’s eyes

It is in these strange times, I thought of analyzing the non-linear science for answers, which have so far been elusive to us in our desperate quest to win over the Corona Virus. Science premised on linear thinking is struggling in face of the global pandemic, which has us all knocked down and cornered into our homes along with our fears.

Before I delve into the vast realm of Vedic Astrology, it would be pertinent to disclose my illuminating voyage of a Neurophysician that has allowed me to explore the fascinating horizons and frontiers of neurosciences. I’m a practicing neurologist and if I am gravitating from the path of science towards the non-linear wisdom of astrology, it is with reason and purpose born of an inquisitive mind that hasn’t stopped looking for answers.

I am an optimistic and am planning to invest again from March 30. I’m of the view that we will see a V-shaped recovery and economy will bounce bank as swiftly as it tanked because of Jupiter’s transit into Capricorn.

Jupiter and Ketu: An unhealthy company

Over the last few months, Jupiter has been placed in conjunction with the shadow planet Ketu in the 9th house of Sagittarius.

Jupiter is considered the benefactor and Guru of the Gods. It is attributed with wisdom, consciousness and healing. Ketu is a shadow planet, the south or descending node of the Moon, also called the tail of the serpent. Rahu, the north node is referred to as the head of the mythological serpent, which was cut into two. Both are considered as powerful shadow planets in astrological calculations.

In context of the mythological reference, Ketu being the tail has no eyes. In its placement with Jupiter, it has ended up squeezing the Dev Graha (lord of the planets) stifling the overall wellness leading to a global epidemic.

Mars and Saturn: Potion for an economic nightmare

Mars and Saturn, astrologically placed as malefic planets and considered enemies to Jupiter and Venus, the benevolent ones, sit in the Capricorn sign. Coupled with Jupiter’s incapacitated placement, this positioning of the planets has set an economic devastation in motion on a global scale.

March 30: The first sliver of hope

Jupiter will start moving to Capricorn from March 24-25 and shall effectively transit to the tenth house on the 30th of this month. This movement frees it from the stifling company of Ketu.

This is a critical juncture where I see a see hope rising from the debris of human casualties in our fight against the pandemic. Medically, I see things improving for the better. There should be a perceptible change for good from 30th of March. I am certain from the placement of the stars in future that the recovery from this pandemic which has clobbered us to the ground will be as swift and as aggressive.

April 14: We no longer hide and take control

My understanding is based on the sun’s movement into its own house, the Aries, on April 14. The Sun is the giver of life. It lords over all other planets and its unique positioning in the fire sign will put us in charge of the situation we are reeling under, at present. In mid February, the Sun moved into Pisces, a water sign. You don’t need to know astrology to decipher what happens when a ball of fire is placed in water. It will be debilitated and lose its influence. The Sun will, based on its new position in Aries, guide us in finding a solution to virus. I am not predicting the fight will be over, but am convinced that we will be in a position to fight from the front and not by cowering in fear, going into isolation.

The V-shaped recovery and why I’m investing again

Despite being a nonlinear science, astrology is a science of statistics and experience, and it’s a good fallback for hope when the scientists in linear realm are struggling to put their acts together. I am a fatalist. In medical science of which I’m a practitioner for more than 40 years now, the dictum is: We treat He cures. I am also an optimistic by nature and am planning to invest again from March 30 onwards. I’m of the view that we will see a V-shaped recovery and economy will bounce bank as swiftly as it tanked.

This is science and I have been putting it to test for decades now with infallible results. While I advise everyone to save yourself, I have an unshakable belief that the God will come to the rescue of human race, because this pandemic is also a challenge to his authority.
