‘Mars, here we come,’ says Musk even as SpaceX rocket explodes

SpaceX’s Starship prototype launch on Wednesday ended in a massive explosion, but CEO Elon Musk claimed the launch went as per plan. Space enthusiasts and netizens agreed with Musk and called the flight historic for space travel as the flight’s live video went viral. Completing a ‘landing flip manoeuvre,’ the rocket turned into a massive fireball after a successful test launch from SpaceX’s rocket facility in Boca Chica, Texas. Earlier this week, the first high-altitude test flight of the rocket was aborted at the last second.
An elated Musk tweeted, “Mars, here we come!!” He stated that the rocket’s “fuel header tank pressure was low” and caused the “touchdown velocity to be high.” The SpaceX CEO said that company had obtained “all the data we needed” from the test.
With the Starship rocket, which will stand at 394-feet along with its booster, the company hopes to take people to Mars.
