Nirav Modi finds out diamonds aren’t forever

Authorities in Switzerland have frozen the accounts of Fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi. Modi, charged with embezzlement and fraud left the shores of India on the sly. The government of India is pushing for his extradition so he can be brought to justice. Authorities also seized the accounts of the diamond tycoon’s sister Purvi. The combined worth of the frozen accounts is close to 300 crore rupees. The action was taken on the request of Enforcement Directorate.
