Tom Cruise isn’t. But he’s making us feel old, again!
The Mission Impossible actor is back to reprising his role as the ‘Maverick fighter pilot in the film that propelled him to the orbit of super stars 33 years ago. Yeah, fans of Top Gun, the sequel of the airborne Fast and the Furious is here. And, yes Cruise is back in the cockpit for one final mission.
Paramount Films dropped the trailer of Top Gun Maverick on YouTube to the shock and awe of fans of the film who find Cruise just waltzing into his role of maverick from three decades ago – RayBan, bomber jacket, bike and plane, all held together by the unforgettable boyish charm of Cruise, now 57.
The Hollywood star just doesn’t seem to get old. He is introduced by Ed Harris’s voice as a captain when he could have been a two-star admiral. “Why, captain?” Harris asks. It’s one of life’s mysteries, sir. He answers.
