#JLF2023: Sudha Murty to speak on books and her beliefs on Day 2
1 min readOn the second day of the 16th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival that is being held at Clarks Amer in Jaipur, philanthropist and writer Sudha Murty will be in conversation with Mandira Nayar about understanding the old and adapting to the new. She will share her version of a pragmatic worldview that is based on compassion and empathy.
Murty has brought culturally oriented children’s literature to the centrestage of discussion. Her simple yet profound stories in books like How I Taught My Grandmother to Read, The Magic of the Lost Temple, and Grandma’s Bag of Stories are based on folklore and life wisdom showing nature and human beings belonging to a common ecosystem.
Murty will also introduce the session, Poems from the Sikh Tradition, where Nikky-Guninder Kaur Singh will be in conversation with Navtej Sarna.
