Fadnavis is Maha CM, Shah has the last laugh

Most of us woke up to “What the hell” shrills inside us this morning when the news outlets were going berserk over Devendra Fadnavis taking oath as the chief minister of Maharashtra for a second time. Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party that was warming the benches around the ongoing political circus stepped inside the ring and landed a knockout punch to Shiv Sena that had gone to bed with Congress, its staunch rival over the past many decades, to try and cobble up a government under its outfit for the first time.

After his swearing-in, Fadnavis charged Sena, BJP’s long-time partner, with betraying the mandate of the people and thanked the NCP for offering a stable government. Home minister Amit Shah’s meme pulled out of an interview before polls where he claims BJP will be forming the government in Maharashtra had gone viral after it appeared the BJP, in spite of being the single largest party, wasn’t forming the government. You can imagine him having the last laugh now.
